Speaker Pelosi, Mark My Words

Wed Jul 16, 2008 at 06:10:11 PM PDT

Your enabling of this corrupt regime will be recognized. I as well as my father just donated 4600 dollars each to the honorable Cindy Sheehan. We are determined to primary you. Should we fail, we have also petitioned the International Criminal Court to prosecute you as well as the not so honorable president (lower case intentional) George W. Bush. You were complicit after the fact. You have allowed his crimes against humanity to continue unabated. This we, and the world will not forget. How can you open an inquiry to his most obvious crimes, and not move forward to hold him accountable? Your weakness is not an excuse. Just as "I was just following orders" was not an excuse at Nuremburg, it shall not be now.

T. Boone's Off His Meds Again

Tue Jul 08, 2008 at 05:55:44 PM PDT

I was shocked to see a television ad decrying our dependence on foreign oil that said,"We can't drill ourselves out of this." Then, I was floored as it suggested wind and solar power as the means to wean ourselves off carbon based fuels. Then I nearly threw up in my mouth as I saw none other than T. Boone Pickens appear to tell us he would lead us with his new plan. I might be crazy, but he doesn't seem to be on board with the McCain campaign here. It could all be a rouse to gain support among environmentalists and those hurt at the pump on board with the rethugs, but I don't know.

This is like so already diaried

Wed Jul 02, 2008 at 06:45:39 PM PDT

Okay, I just read about my favorite Tory friend, Christopher Hitchens getting waterboarded. I have to say it was complete euphoria, but then bunches of DKos thought and Diary Police came along and ridiculed the diarist, because... Oh my ever loving god it had been diaried before. Unless something is still on the roll, or has spent time on the rec list, you should not be so quick with the OMG like totally diaried before. Why? Because some people, even those who peruse the site all day at work, didn't effing see it. If it's unimportant droll like: OMG Obama's selling out and I haven't seen more than 300 diaries on it, fine tell them to delete, but when an important story that may have been missed is diaried, be kind. Some haven't seen the story yet unless it has met the aforementioned requirements of recent and reclisting. The example of this complete nonsense below the fold.

Mrs. Pelosi, Stop the F'n Madness

Tue Jun 10, 2008 at 07:44:54 PM PDT

Okay, I'm done pussyfooting around. I don't care about the repercussions, because the reason I want a Democrat elected, is to restore democracy to our country. I think that GWB has set a dangerous precedent for future administrations by expanding exponentially executive privilege. We can still win while holding this administration accountable. To wit, the email I sent her just now can be viewed below.

Oh my ever loving god

Thu May 29, 2008 at 06:52:28 PM PDT

I can't believe Fox "News." They are hyping another pastor story, although it's a priest, and not Obama's pastor, he mocked Hillary's ambition and sense of entitlement. Evidently he was part of Obama's campaign a couple of months ago, but he resigned. This right wing shill on Verdict said that Obama shouldn't have let him resign, he should have fired him, and this story has legs.

Musings on Ego

Wed May 28, 2008 at 05:32:44 PM PDT

These musings were inspired by merlot and the detrimental effects of ego on our collective good. I'm sorry, but there is no mention of Hillary in this diary. If that's okay with you, take a look at the rest.

Unicorn Tears and HRC's Candidacy

Wed May 14, 2008 at 06:59:04 PM PDT

If you watch the TM, you undoubtedly have heard about Obama's lead in every conceivable metric, but what they refuse to tell you, is that Hillary's campaign is leading by a 3 to 1 margin in the most important measure (according to her campaign)... unicorn tears. That's right, while she trails by almost 200 delegates (including John Edwards'), she leads by over 200 million unicorn tears. She is currently in possession of over 600 million confirmed unicorn tears against a paltry 196 million UNCONFIRMED unicorn tears amassed by the Obama campaign. While she has provided certificates of authenticity for 599,996,648 unicorn tears (as of time of post), Barack has yet to authenticate a single one. Suspicious? Andrea Mitchell thinks so. For even more reasons to doubt the viability of Obama's candidacy, follow me below the fold.

It's not you, it's me

Thu Apr 24, 2008 at 08:31:09 PM PDT

Hillary, we've had some great times. We've laughed. We've cried, and god damn it we thought you were a contender. Alas, it's now time that we must part ways. You see, the old me and you were a great match, but times have changed. I just think we should vote for other people. Now I know what you're going to say. We're great for each other. I'm the one. You'll never find someone who can fulfill your needs like I can, but the truth is Hill, I've met someone else. Someone, who makes me feel that I can achieve great things. Someone who gives me hope that tomorrow will be a better day. I'm sorry, but we cannot continue this charade for much longer. The truth is we've been over for a long time, but we just couldn't admit it. I know you think that there's still a chance for us, but there isn't. I'm sorry. I know you're hurt and you thought the love would last forever. It can't.

Why Do Flagpin Wearing Republicans Hate America?

Sun Apr 20, 2008 at 02:16:24 PM PDT

Why do republicans hate America?  Starting with Reagan, why have they been intent on bankrupting and destroying the United States?  Many of my fellow citizens have fallen for their false credo that government is the problem not the solution. .. To that I say baloney.   A fully functioning and financially stable government is necessary for the benefit of society.   A financially stable government would be able to ensure adequately inspected food products, lead free children’s toys and adequate responses to natural disasters.

An open letter to MSNBC

Thu Apr 17, 2008 at 04:29:16 PM PDT

One word... Zogby,

Can we stop acting like Hillary will score a massive blowout in Pennsylvania? In a poll released this morning Hillary Clinton's lead in Pennsylvania was reduced to one percent, 45-44. This poll was conducted from the 14th through the 16th, and as such does not reflect the effect last night's debate may have. Why is this not in the news, regardless of how important Barack Obama's bitter comment is. Let's not forget that people by a 2:1 margin said it wasn't an issue. Tonight David Gregory's round table basically agreed, all except Rachel Maddow, that it was an issue as was Barack's patriotism. This is getting ridiculous, and I may have to limit my MSNBC viewing to KO from now on.

Now that Rachel brought up John McCain's campaign Co-Chair in Florida getting caught soliciting a police officer in a bathroom in Florida, can we ask him why he associates with people who solicit prostitutes, regardless of gender, in public bathrooms. How can Joe say that he won't engage in a debate with her about a candidates acquaintances? Before she brought this up he was assailing Barack's character in the exact same way.

McCain hates torture??? WTF

Tue Apr 15, 2008 at 03:54:32 PM PDT

McCain on Chris Matthews. He seems to be backtracking. He says unequivocally that we must not torture. WTF, didn't he vote against the torture bill? I liked his views on climate change. He said listen what have we got to lose if it's real, but then he said something else I totally agreed with and I was taken aback:

Oil!

Fri Apr 11, 2008 at 03:48:39 PM PDT

I have been told that peace in the Middle East is vital to our oil supply, but I came by some interesting information yesterday thanks to the USDOE. About 21.2 percent of our imported oil is from that region, and it accounts for only 11.66 percent of our total oil consumption. Before we meddled in the quagmire that is Iraq, and it was not to fight terror, regular unleaded sold for less than $1.40 per gallon.
